An afternoon of activities

This afternoon we made a yummy White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake.

This is what its supposed to end up looking like.

We put their aprons on & put everything we needed for our recipe on the table. Colton said he needed a "chef" hat....thats what he came back wearing.

Colton had the first turn of crushing the biscuits.

Taylan loved using the rolling pin.

Tyrus kept pushing the bag of biscuits away from him instead of rolling over the top.

Wyatt of course was very precise & carefully with his rolling. Eventually the biscuits were all crushed.

Wyatt, Colton & Taylan grease the cake tin. We were supposed to use a spring form tin but I didnt have one so made do with this one....needless to say it was difficult getting the cheesecake out once it was cut ready to eat. We are on the hunt for a spring form tin!

Tyrus mixed the butter in with the crushed biscuits.

Everyone helped diligently break up the chocolate into pieces. We only lost 2 pieces....1 to Thor who was waiting under the table to catch anything that might fall & 1 to Taylan.

Taylan was trying very hard to break 1 of the small squares into half. Eventually he gave up & just ate it when no one was looking.

Beating the cream cheese & sugar.

Enjoying the beaters after all that hard work!

After dinner we enjoyed the fruits of our labour.

It didnt look quite like the picture because it was in a cake tin but boy was it yummy!

Everyone loved it.

Tyrus ate all his raspberries first. He said that was his favourite part.

After making the cheesecake we headed outside to give our beloved pooch, Thor, a bath. It was a lovely warm afternoon.

Taylan helped me wet Thor down & then started soaping him up.

Wyatt & Tyrus soon helped soap him up & scrub him too.

Washing the soap off with the hose.

This is just after I wet Wyatt with the hose, Thor saw his opportunity to shake off & escape our washing efforts!

We got him back & finished washing off the soap.

Then it was the kids turn.

Maybe if I water him he will grow?!

This is how we shower in the country....line 'em up & hose 'em down!
